Fees on Goods

 

4.1 Fees on Goods inside Containers

 

The investment department in Port of Tripoli charges the following fees for imported goods, or goods filled into containers, as follows:

  • Exempt from the above fees are containers that come by sea, stay inside the port then are shipped by ea (Transshipment), on condition that they don't stay in the port more than 15 days. If they stay longer, they are charged by transit fees described above starting from the 16th day.

 

  • Exempt from 25% of the dock and transit fees mentioned above are raw materials for local consumption industry.

 

  • A portion of period is considered as complete period.

 

4.2 Fees on Empty Containers

 

 Since their emptying or arrival in empty state, containers are charged with the following storage fees:

  • A portion of period is considered as complete period.

 

  • The investment department of Port of Tripoli charges $ 3 (USD) for every lead lock after the first systematic check.

 

4.3 Fees on Cars and Vehicles

 

Cars and vehicles imported for local consumption purposes or so, or re-loaded from transit or free zone, or intended for export or re-export are subject to the following fees:

4.4 Fees on Goods

 

The investment department in Port of Tripoli charges for other types of goods, imported for local consumption or so, or re-loaded as transit or free zone, or  intended for export or re-export, fees as decribed in the following table:

  • Goods and vehicles that come by land, are unloaded in the general warehouses, and are classified for local consumption will be subject for transit fees that are 0.5% of the value of goods accepted by the customs, in addition to allowances for storage and services related to the type of goods. Goods that remain in their trucks are exempted from this fee.

 

  • Regarding trucks that enter the port loaded with goods for customs check or transit, they have to pay a fixed fee of 10$ per day and per truck, starting from the second day of arrival, without counting sundays and holidays.

 

  • Raw materials for local consumption industry are exempt from 25% of dock and transit fees mentioned above.

 

  • Trucks of direct trailing intended for transit are exempt from storage fees for a 48-hour period.

 

  • Exempt from those fees are liquid fuels and supply materials for ships inside basins and beside the docks.
