1. Berthing and Anchoring Fees

 

Maritime units which anchor or berth inside or outside the bassins pay the following tariffs per ton and per day or part thereof / day calculated at 24 hours actual docking or berthing:

Note:

 

  • Lebanese flag ships and/or wooden ships pay 50% of applicable tariffs according to usage type whilst observing minimum fees and are exempt from docking fees within the protected area except for petroleum and oil vessels.

 

  • RORO vessels pay only 65% of applicable tariffs according to usage type whilst observing minimum fees.

 

  • Vessels residing in the basins for the purpose of provisioning other sea going vessels without undertaking any other commercial activity are liable to a $300 fixed monthly fee for each month or part thereof.

 

  • Anchoring outside the bassins is free of charge.

 

  • Are exempted from the above fees:
    - Military ships. 
    - Lebanese state ships not engaged in commercial activity. 
    - Ships refugee from hurricanes until the hurricanes are finished. 
    - Foreign touristic yachts, on condition that they don't dock in the bassin; otherwise, they will pay docking fees mentioned above.

2.2 Fees on Towage

 

The fees on towage in Port of Tripoli are defined as follows:

  • Towage is compulsory in Port of Tripoli for all ships that are 80 meters long or more.

 

  • The official working hours for towing and piloting begin at 7:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM.

 

  • The lebanese ships pay only 75% of the fees described in the two tables above.

  • Fees for unloading or shipping full or empty container from or to ship by ship's own gear are 35% of the fees mentioned in the previous table.
  • Maritime agencies must present a manifest describing the goods loaded/unloaded from/to the ship.

Tariffs

 

Port of Tripoli distinguishes itself from other neighboring ports by its relatively low tariffs and fees. The tariffs of ships, goods and port services are competitive, enabling Port of Tripoli to be an essential station select by most of the traders and agents who desire to decrease the financial burdens of their merchandise transportation by road and sea.

Fees on Goods

 

4.1 Fees on Goods inside Containers

 

The investment department in Port of Tripoli charges the following fees for imported goods, or goods filled into containers, as follows:

  • Exempt from the above fees are containers that come by sea, stay inside the port then are shipped by ea (Transshipment), on condition that they don't stay in the port more than 15 days. If they stay longer, they are charged by transit fees described above starting from the 16th day.

 

  • Exempt from 25% of the dock and transit fees mentioned above are raw materials for local consumption industry.

 

  • A portion of period is considered as complete period.

 

4.2 Fees on Empty Containers

 

 Since their emptying or arrival in empty state, containers are charged with the following storage fees:

  • Goods and vehicles that come by land, are unloaded in the general warehouses, and are classified for local consumption will be subject for transit fees that are 0.5% of the value of goods accepted by the customs, in addition to allowances for storage and services related to the type of goods. Goods that remain in their trucks are exempted from this fee.

 

  • Regarding trucks that enter the port loaded with goods for customs check or transit, they have to pay a fixed fee of 10$ per day and per truck, starting from the second day of arrival, without counting sundays and holidays.

 

  • Raw materials for local consumption industry are exempt from 25% of dock and transit fees mentioned above.

 

  • Trucks of direct trailing intended for transit are exempt from storage fees for a 48-hour period.

 

  • Exempt from those fees are liquid fuels and supply materials for ships inside basins and beside the docks.
